1) Reason for malfunction:

(1) The inside of the oil cup is too dirty, the filter is clogged, or the oil level in the cup is low.

(2) There is a large amount of air in the power steering system.

(3) There is a foreign object in the steering system causing the flow control valve of the steering pump to become stuck.

(4) Insufficient tire pressure, interference or loose connection of the steering column of the pump, loose or slipping belt of the pump, or loose installation position of the pump.

(5) Loose bolts at various connecting parts of the oil pipe caused leakage of steering fluid.

(6) Excessive wear of the steering gear piston cylinder, poor sealing of the oil seal, and adhesion or damage to the control valve.

2) Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting:

(1) Check the steering gear, steering pump control valve, oil cup filter, steering oil, and clean the entire power steering system.

(2) If the pump is dirty, it is necessary to clean the inside and outside of the power pump and oil pipe (do not use cotton cloth or other multi fiber cloth, use a clean brush for cleaning), and exhaust the steering system according to regulations.

(3) Inflate the tires according to regulations and adjust the performance of the engine.

(4) Add fuel to the specified level and check or replace the oil cup.

(5) Adjust the tension of the belt according to regulations and tighten the connecting screws of each component.

(6) Check the various connection parts of the oil pipe and tighten the connecting bolts.

(7) Replace the oil pipe, power steering pump, or power steering gear.
